Idaho spud truck takes ice bucket challengeThe Great Big Idaho Potato Truck has taken the ALS ice bucket challenge.

The three-person “Tater Team” that travels with the giant spud on wheels administered the dousing, according to a news release from the Eagle-based Idaho Potato Commission, which created the truck.

After the truck took the challenge, the commission nominated the Florida Department of Citrus, the Washington Apple Commission and the Georgia Peach Council to accept the challenge.

Now in its third year on the road, the Great Big Idaho Potato Truck is expected to cover 19,000 miles over five months, with stops in 26 states.
