California citrus grower-shipper Sun Pacific Marketing has hired a sales veteran to lead its business development.
Working 23 years in the produce industry, Scott Harrington joins the Pasadena, Calif.-based Sun Pacific as its director of business development.
Harrington previously worked as senior vice president of Los Angeles-based HerbThyme Farms Inc.; as sales director for Watsonville, Calif.-based Monterey Mushrooms Inc.; and, most recently, as vice president of business development for Irwindale, Calif.-based Ready Pac Foods Inc.
At Sun Pacific, Harrington will be responsible for focusing on developing new business for Sun Pacific’s portfolio of products, according to a news release.
Harrington will report to Bob DiPiazza, Sun Pacific’s president.
“We are pleased and excited to have Scott on board, and we welcome his wealth of experience as we develop new channels of business for our products,” DiPiazza said in the release.
Sun Pacific markets Cuties brand mandarins and other citrus, as well California table grapes, tomatoes and kiwifruit.
