InstantLabs Medical Diagnostics Corp., is starting a new food safety blog.
The blog is designed to provide a place for in-depth discussion of the many facets of food safety testing, according to a news release.
The Baltimore-based company plans to use the blog to discuss issues relating to food safety, micro and molecular biology, laboratory technique and more, according to the release.
As the food industry is grappling with new rules brought by the implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act, food safety testing will be increasing become a more prominent tool for companies to protect brands, fulfill customer requirements and comply with the new regulations, according to the release.
“From our interactions with a wide range of food safety professionals, we know there are many questions that need to be answered,” Neil Sharma, InstantLabs’ head of product development, said in the release. “This forum gives participants a place to get deeper knowledge about the science of testing and discuss subjects surrounding critical food safety activities.”
InstantLabs is a molecular diagnostic device company that also manufactures industry-specific testing kits.
