Interfresh hires onion salesman

Interfresh Inc., Orange, Calif., hired Ernie Colton, and he brought the sales agent responsibility for Doug Kophamer Farms, Bakersfield, Calif., with him.

Colton, formerly of Western Onion Sales, Camarillo, Calif., has decades of produce industry experience. He will be responsible for growing the onion category across Interfresh’s customer base, according to a news release.

Kophamer Farms grows, packs and ships yellow, red and white onions from June to December.

Interfresh already supplied citrus, berries, melons, avocados, corn, asparagus, pineapple, yams, sweet tomatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, grapes and soft fruit.
