Two Ontario greenhouse vegetable growers have been named among Canada’s 50 best-managed companies.
JemD Farms and Mastronardi Produce, both based in Kingsville, are winners in the annual Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies awards, according to company news releases.
The awards, sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post, Queen’s School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums, recognize Canadian companies that have implemented world-class business practices and created value in innovative ways.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to be a part of such a wonderful group of award winners and to be receiving this prestigious award,” Jim DiMenna, president of JemD Farms, said in a release. “Our company goal of constant evolution and continual growth is very important to our team, having this award bestowed upon our company is truly an honor.”
For Mastronardi, this is the company’s fourth straight year of being named a top 50 company, earning it Gold Standard designation.
“My family has been focused on growing quality, flavorful produce for almost 60 years, and it is with great pleasure that we accept this award again this year elevating us to the Gold Standard level,” Paul Mastronardi, the company’s president, said in a release.
