Katie’s Krops, a nonprofit organization that sponsors gardens to help end hunger in communities, has added Don Goodwin, founder and president of Golden Sun Marketing, to its board of directors.
Goodwin was introduced to the organization when Katie Stagliano spoke at an industry event nearly five years ago.
“Here was this 12-year-old girl engaging a room full of industry professionals with her dream of ending hunger,” Goodwin said in a news release. “Immediately, it became my mission to support Katie and her aspiration in any capacity I could. I am truly honored to now be a part of her board and help her achieve her dream.”
Since then, Goodwin has helped the organization in many ways. He has arranged sponsorships, provided strategic insights, and supported the organization’s marketing efforts.
“Don’s dedication to Katie’s Krops over the years has been incredible,” said Stacy Stagliano, CEO, president and chairman of the board, in the release. “We are so very thankful to have him join our board of directors as we strategize to expand our cause across all 50 states.”
