Key Technology adds product manager

WoodPeter Wood is the new process systems product manager at Key Technology.

At the Walla Walla, Wash.-based designer and manufacturer of process automation systems including digital sorters, conveyors, and processing equipment, Wood supervises the company’s planning and managing activities.

Wood has nearly 20 years of product and account management experience, including 10 years at the Packaging Equipment Division of Alcoa in various positions including account manager and product manager and most recently was market segment leader at Climax Portable Machining & Welding Systems, according to a company news release.

Wood will oversee the development and sales of Key’s copyrighted Smart Shaker suite of vibratory conveyors and also manages Key’s other processing systems products including sizers and graders, food pumps and air cleaners, according to the release.

“Peter is managing important groups of products that help food processors increase yield and maximize product quality while improving productivity,” Steve Johnson, Key’s senior director of global marketing, said in the release.
