Courtesy Kingston Fresh Ken Nabal, president of Idaho Falls, Idaho-based Kingston Fresh, visited Chile recently to inspect grapes. Kingston Fresh has added Chilean grapes to its product roster.

Idaho Falls, Idaho-based Kingston Fresh should receive its first arrivals of Chilean grapes in early February, according to a company news release.

Fruit will arrive in Philadelphia and be distributed to Kingston Fresh’s customers on the East Coast and in the Midwest.

Ken Nabal, the company’s president, expects good yields and quality.

“Surveying a lot of our grape production in the South over a four day period, I see a lot of fruit on vines with consistent bunches and excellent berry sizing,” Nabal said in the release. “Weather has been near perfect and we are excited with what we’re seeing.”

Kingston Fresh’s fresh produce lineup also includes pineapples, mangoes, melons, papaya, asparagus, citrus, tropical roots and sweet onions.
