Christie Sommers is now sales manager for the company’s sales office in Idaho Falls, Idaho, according to a news release. She has been with Kingston for more than 16 years and was promoted to the position from senior key account manager.
Kingston also hired Barbara Espinosa as inventory control manager, which was newly created. Espinosa has held similar positions with Frontera Produce and Legends Produce East. She will work in the company’s South Florida office, the release said.
“In order for us to sustain the growth we are experiencing, it is critical that we recruit and retain the best talent,” Kingston President Ken Nabal said in the release. “However, Kingston maintains a strong commitment to also train and develop leadership from within the organization. The addition of Barbara and the promotion of Christie will allow Kingston to continue exceeding our customers’ expectations and add strength to an already talented team of seasoned produce professionals."
