Kingston Fresh LLC has new category programs and a new manager with 35 years of experience to launch them.
Sandy Gatanio, who has 35 years experience in the fresh produce industry, has been hired for the new position of product manager for specialty vegetables and berries, according to a news release from the Idaho Falls, Idaho-based Kingston.
Previously Gatanio worked in South Florida in sales and product management at Fru-Veg Marketing, Southern Specialties and Harvest Fresh International. Before moving to Florida in 2002, Gatanio worked for various companies on the Hunts Point Terminal Market in New York, according to the release. He will work out of Kingston’s Pompano Beach, Fla., sales office.
“We are particularly excited in utilizing his experience in berry programs,” Kingston president Ken Nabal said in the release. “Kingston has a growing imports division and these programs fit perfectly in servicing our customer base.”
