Problem avoidance is the underlying theme for additions and changes to the Meuers Law Firm website that were designed with the fresh produce industry in mind.

Larry Meuers, founder of the Naples, Fla., firm, said in a news release that his years of experience in the produce industry have given him insight to help produce executives. He said his family has been affiliated with the industry for four generations.

The “Produce Law Academy” is one of the additions to the site specifically targeting produce business owners. It includes breaking news about produce-related policies and archived articles. Meuers said he wants it to be a “one-stop source” for information about the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.

Other new features on the site include a best practices section and a PACA law dictionary.

Meuers Law Firm began providing legal services to the produce industry in 1989, with special focus on helping clients recover money under PACA provisions.
