Legion Logistics LLC was recently recognized for continual growth by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. The Florence, Ky., company was one of 32 recipients, honored for sustaining growth of at least 15% over the last three years. Due to a three-way tie, two more companies made the “Emerging 30” this year.

President Lacy Starling founded Legion Logistics in 2009 in the basement of her Union, Ky. home. The company has since grown to a $12 million third-party logistics company and moved its office location to Florence.

“When I started the business I was just hoping to keep the house and make our car payments,” said Starling in a news release. “I thought if we could clear $50,000 a year we would be wildly successful, but I never dreamed of this.”

The award winners were recognized at a cocktail reception hosted by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 24.
