In honor of its 80th anniversary, LoBue Citrus is partnering with the nonprofit charity Katie’s Krops.
Lindsay, Calif.-based citrus grower-shipper LoBue will donate a percentage of every case of navels it ships from November to January to Katie’s Krops, according to a LoBue news release.
Katie’s Krops issues grants to kids ages 9 to 16 to plant vegetable gardens. To date, 80 gardens in 29 states have been funded. Once harvested, vegetables are donated to the underserved.
Lobue’s promotion will be supported at retail with LoBue Family Legacy-branded point-of-sale signs and social media.
“We are so proud to be partnering with Katie’s Krops,” Norm Gatineau, LoBue’s vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “Giving back is very important to us, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 80th anniversary than by supporting such a wonderful cause.”
