Ernst Van Eeghen, director of marketing and product development for Church Brothers LLC, plans to leave the Salinas, Calif., grower-shipper for a similar role with Twang Partners, a San Antonio food products company.
A successor for Van Eeghen, whose last day is Sept. 26, is yet to be named.
Separately, Church Brothers and True Leaf Farms announced four new hires including Pradeep Hadavale as vice president of supply chain and scheduling and Brian Hunt as production manager for Yuma, Ariz., and Imperial, Calif.
“I’m leaving Church Brothers with a heavy heart and had a fantastic seven years here, but this opportunity presented itself suddenly and I just couldn’t ignore it,” Van Eeghen said in an email. The move to Texas brings him closer to family, he said.
Hadavale’s role as a vice president at Church Brothers and True Leaf is to manage procurement and supply chain functions. He is supervising material packaging, procurement and plant scheduling staff. Hadavale has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer products and food industry in Fortune 500 companies, according to a news release.
Before becoming production manager for the desert regions at Church Brothers, Hunt grew for Tanimura & Antle in Imperial.
Melissa Ortner has also joined Church Brothers and True Leaf Farms, as quality assurance technical manager. She will manage and implement the quality program and True Leaf technical innovations.
Church Brothers, moreover, named Philip Higgins senior accountant. He will assist Vince Fata, vice president of finance, and Jay Brown, chief financial officer.
The additions support the growth the company has experienced over the last few years, according to Church Brothers.
