This year, the contest is open to retailers small and large, said Megan McKenna, marketing director for the Orlando, Fla.-based organization.
“This is the first year large retail will be able to participate in the contest and we are very eager to see everyone’s creativity,” McKenna said, in the release. “Participating in the contest can help increase small and large chain retail sales as well as educate our consumers about this delicious tropical fruit.”
The board plans to award more than $12,000 in cash prizes. Displays must be kept in place one week between July 1 and Jul 31. Entries are due to the National Mango Board office by Aug. 20.
