The National Mango Board is looking for new board members.
The Orlando, Fla.-based organization is seeking nominations for its board of directors.
The group is trying to fill seven positions that serve three-year terms that begin in January.
Available positions include two importers from District III, one importer from District IV and one domestic producer and three foreign producers, according to a news release.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture chooses board members from the final slate of nominees.
The industry plans to forward two nominees for each importer and domestic producer position voted on by industry members in their districts, according to the release.
Board members work with the group’s staff to conduct marketing, research and industry relations programs.
