Mann Packing Co. will promote its stringless sugar snap peas at three fall health and fitness expos in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series.
Salinas, Calif.-based Mann Packing will have its mascot Snappy on hand to distribute coupons and pose for photographs. The two-day expos are planned for Oct. 4-5 in San Jose; Oct. 25-26 in St. Louis; and Nov. 15-16 in Las Vegas.
It’s the second season that the grower-shipper is participating in. “The demographics of the race participants match our target market,” Gina Nucci, director of healthy culinary innovation, said in a news release.
More than 35,000 are expected to attend each event.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is a charity event for runners that raised more than $250 million last year. Beside the expo and live music, it features a marathon, half marathon, relays, wheelchair and elite athlete invitationals.
Mann Packing will appear in Competitor magazine, in print advertisement and the official event guide and website.
Sites were chosen based on proximity to retail partners including Save Mart, Lucky, FoodMaxx, Raley’s, Nob Hill and Bel Air in Northern California; Dierberg’s and Schnuck’s in St. Louis; and Albertson’s in Las Vegas.
