Mastronardi CEO recognized for entrepreneurship

Courtesy Mastronardi ProducePaul Mastronardi, president and chief executive officer of Mastronardi Produce, was named Ontario’s 2013 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the food and beverage category. The award was presented to him by the previous winners, Greg Taylor and Cam Heaps of Steamwhistle Brewery. Mastronardi Produce president and CEO Paul Mastronardi was named Ontario’s 2013 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the food and beverage category.

The fourth-generation Mastronardi president of the Kingsville, Ontario, based company received recognition for his innovative business practices in producing greenhouse tomatoes. He is known throughout the industry for exploring the concept of branding and packaging tomatoes in North America, according to a company news release.

The Canadian entrepreneur program is in its twentieth year of honoring leaders in all areas of business.
