Kingsville, Ontario-based Mastronardi will highlight its new Y.E.L.O. tomatoes at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit show in New Orleans Oct. 19-20, according to a company news release.
Y.E.L.O., an acronym for Youth, Energy, Life and Om, boasts attributes other yellow tomatoes can’t, Chris Veillon, Mastronardi’s marketing director, said in the release.
“Y.E.L.O. is a fantastic product,” Veillon said. “Unlike other yellow tomatoes, it’s sweet, flavorful and has a long shelf life. As it comes from the greenhouse that brought the world Campari brand cocktail tomatoes, it’s sure to be a hit.”
