Mastronardi maintains 50 Best status

Mastronardi Produce, Kingsville, Ontario, maintains its position on Canada’s list of the 50 best-managed companies for the third year.

“I am grateful and thank everyone for keeping up the hard work that brings us this prestigious award,” Paul Mastronardi, president, said in a news release.

The 50 Best program is sponsored by Deloitte, Queen’s School of Business, National Post and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. It recognizes Canadian businesses based on the use of technology, brand management, leadership, globalization and information management systems, among other criteria.

“We believe that there are three vital building blocks to sustainable growth: strategy, capability, and commitment; Mastronardi Produce has demonstrated it is a model of success in all three areas,” John Hughes, partner at Deloitte, said in the release.

Mastronardi Produce, a family-owned and employee-managed company, produces, markets, and ships greenhouse cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes.
