During the month of May, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of Vidalia onions will be donated to the charity. Patriotic-themed packaging will be introduced for the month featuring the Hope for the Warriors logo. Cartons and bags will feature a quick-response code directing consumers to the charity’s website.
There will also be display contests at local, regional, and national levels. The grand-prize display contest winner will receive a $500 gift card to a national retailer.
Hope for the Warriors works to help improve the quality of life for post-9/11 service members and their families. About 82% of the donated money is directly spent on service members and their families.
