New cartons designed by Misionero Vegetables feature distinct but consistent looks for the company and its Earth Greens Organics and Garden Life brands.
The Gonzales, Calif., company not only wanted a new look for the cartons, but also wanted to enhance sustainability, Misionero’s vice president of sales and marketing Dan Canales said in a news release.
The cartons were more than two years in the making, and Misionero plans to have completely changed over to the new design by the end of this year, marketing manager Alicia Blanco said in the company’s news release. She said all branches of the company worked together on the cartons to ensure a consistent look across all brands.
Canales said in the release that in addition to aligning the Misionero corporate brand with the consumer brands of Earth Greens Organics and Garden Life, the new cartons are reducing the company’s carbon footprint by increasing palletization across all stock-keeping units. He said that will translate into optimized freight costs for customers.
Misionero is using less ink with the new cartons, which are color-coded. Green is the dominant color on the Misionero brand foodservice cartons. Cartons for the consumer brands Earth Greens Organics and Garden Life use red and black, respectively, to distinguish them from the corporate brand.
