Minneapolis, Minn.-based Mocon Inc., a manufacturer of package integrity instrumentation, has created four global business units.
The units are microbial detection and permeation, both in Minneapolis; package testing, Ringsted, Denmark; and industrial analyzers, Lyons, Colo.
Mocon has acquired other companies, growing from a manufacturer of permeation equipment for packaging applications into providing products and services for food safety, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and more, according to a news release.
“This reorganization has been driven by organic growth, coupled with our recent acquisitions,” Don DeMorett, Mocon’s chief operating officer, said in the release. “By realigning our product portfolio, we will be better able to provide targeted product and service solutions, regardless of where in the world our customers are located.”
The microbial detection unit includes the GreenLight food safety product line that provides automated same-day microbial count results.
