The Mushroom Council has joined the Partnership for a Healthier America as a key sponsor for the Building a Healthier Future Summit.
The summit, Nov. 29-30 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., aimed to bring together philanthropic, government and private sector leaders to focus on an agenda to end childhood obesity.
“We’re delighted the Mushroom Council is supporting the Building a Healthier Future Summit,” Lawrence Soler, chief executive officer of the Partnership for a Healthier America, said in a news release.
“Fresh fruits and vegetables are essential to a healthy diet, which is why it is so important to have organizations like the Mushroom Council at the table when we talk about how to help our kids live healthier lives.”
The Partnership for a Healthier America works with the private sector to focus on the health of the nation’s youth by putting an end to the childhood obesity crisis, according to the release.
