NAPMM board member dies

Thomas “Tommy” Crochet, board member for The National Association of Produce Market Managers, died June 2 due to complications after a fall.

Crochet managed the Houston Produce Center. He was committed to moving the industry forward and making the market the best it could be, according to a release. Earlier in his career he worked in the restaurant business, which includes managing his own Carrabbas franchise.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri Crochet, sons Maxwell “Max” Crochet and Cody Clark, daughter Alison, son-in-law Dakota Thoes, and grandson Jack; by parents Linda and Fred Maxwell; by siblings Crystal and Clay Steele and Shawn Gallant. He was preceded in death by his biological father James Crochet, his grandmother Violet Crochet and his sister Justine Maxwell.
