Zespri International Ltd. has chosen the iCan Foundation as its winner for the Kiwifruit for Kids campaign.

The foundation will receive $10,000 from Zespri.

The iCan Foundation is NFL football player Pierre Thomas’ charity that encourages children to adopt healthier lifestyles in Louisiana, Mississippi and Illinois, according to a news release.

Treeswing came in second place and will receive $5,000. Other charities will receive $1,500 for participating in the Kiwifruit for Kids competition, according to the release.

“We’d like to congratulate all of the charities for playing, as they all did such wonderful jobs promoting Zespri’s message to help children be active and eat their fruits and vegetables,” Margaux Rathbun, Kiwifruit for Kids spokeswoman and certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, said in the release. “Zespri really enjoyed working with each children’s health charity and visiting them in their respective regions to support them and this message at their local events.”
