The National Grocers Association, Arlington, Va., has promoted Matthew Ott to vice president of operations and Greg Ferrara to head of government relations and communications.

Ott was previously the Grocers Association’s vice president of membership and information technology. Since January 2011, Ott has been responsible for membership, technology and partnerships. His responsibilities include the development and improvement of technology such as the online member portal and the Grocer Association’s Online Training and Education Center. Ott will assume responsibility for expo management and advertising sales.

Greg Ferrara joined the Grocers Association in 2005 as director of government relations and has been vice president of public affairs since 2012.

Ferrara’s responsibilities include working as the company’s chief lobbyist, representing the Grocers Association and its members before Congress and overseeing the company’s communications department. Ferrara will also oversee the Grocers PAC and the NGA Campaign.
