Her responsibilities include advertising, marketing and sales at the tropical fruit company, according to a news release. She has 14 years experience in the fresh produce industry.
General manager Eddie Caram said in the release that Blonder’s return to the company brings opportunities that are in line with “the direction New Limeco is headed.”
Blonder first joined New Limeco as marketing director in 2002, remaining in the position until August 2013, she said. Prior to that, she had been a merchandiser at Brooks Tropicals.
She and Robert Gruber formed D&B Tropicals LLC in Vero Beach, Fla., but she said she couldn’t resist the opportunity to return to New Limeco when Caram offered.
“It gave me the chance to work with a team again,” Blonder said May 7. “I learned a lot in my time away and I hope the lessons and tools I have now gained will positively affect this company. I couldn’t pass up being a part of where New Limeco is headed under Eddie’s direction.”
