Dulcinea FarmsDulcinea Farms, which was acquired by Reedley, Calif.-based Pacific Trellis Fruit earlier this year, will undergo some changes in the coming months.

John McGuigan, Dulcinea manager, will leave at the end of August, according to a news release.

This fall, Pacific Trellis Fruit plans to expand the Dulcinea melon program with increased volumes from Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico.

Pacific Trellis Farms grows more than 6,000 acres of melons annually. In addition to the Dulcinea label, it owns the PureHeart, Tuscan-Style and Ruby Bliss consumer brands.

The firm also has named Paul Collazo, formerly with Syngenta, to the newly created research and development position. He will be responsible for maintaining existing varieties and developing new proprietary melon varieties.

Steve Dabich, an eight-year veteran of Dulcinea Farms, continues as director of sales.

So, on one site you state there will be no changes . Then I clicking on this and management has changed. StTung you'll be bringing in product from other countries. I personally liked "American grown". So will you tag your products stating which country they are grown and shipped from. Not just the distribution but origin of the product farmers. Donna

Pacific Trellis Farms grows more than 6,000 acres of melons annually. That's right, in the S&S and Sol labels. Hmmm...
