The Midnight Mission, a Los Angeles nonprofit, named Ready Pac Foods Inc. among a list of honorees at its Golden Heart Awards Gala.

This year’s event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Sept. 30 commemorated the service organization’s centennial. Irwindale, Calif.-based Ready Pac was recognized as a past recipient of the stewardship award in 2002 for its donations of fresh produce and other support.

The Midnight Mission serves the homeless in downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row area.

“The sheer impact this organization has on our community is undeniable,” Tony Sarsam, chief executive officer at Ready Pac, said in a news release. “The Ready Pac team is proud to have had the opportunity to help provide resources that can remove obstacles faced by those experiencing homelessness and pave paths for better lives.”
