bok choy napa cabbageCourtesy Ocean Mist FarmsOcean Mist Farms has begun shipping shrink-wrapped bok choy and napa cabbage in advance of Chinese New Year on Feb. 10.

The new items will be available year-round. The shrink wrap is aimed at extending shelf life, according to a news release.

The vegetables are associated with Asian cooking.

Bok choy is common in soups, stir-fries, appetizers and entrees.

Napa cabbage resembles regular green cabbage, but is longer and oval-shaped. It has slightly more protein and fewer calories than regular cabbage, according to the Castroville, Calif.-based grower-shipper. Its taste is comparable to a mild celery or bok choy.

My compliments to Ocean Mist to bring this type of product. What is neglected to communicate are the SKU's, # per pack or carton, ave. weight number for retailer/consumer to purchase. More significant no Standard nutritional inmformation at the time of introduction! Lets move the focus to nutritional communication to retailers/ consumers and to restaurant trade.

Thank you Robert. We actually created this new pack to accommodate a retailers request. Please do reach out to us so we can provide you with all the trade details you mention. We offer samples if that is of interest for you as well.
