Pieri worked at Ocean Mist for nearly 50 years starting in the 1940s.
His experience included chairing several agricultural boards and serving on Irvine, Calif.-based UnitedAg’s board. Pieri’s changing industry roles over the decades included truck loader, bookkeeper, sales manager and real estate negotiator.
“Through it all he has shown his commitment to quality in his products, quality in his service and quality in our industry’s progressive growth,” Bobbie Taylor, UnitedAg senior vice president, said in a news release. “His hard working values and keen wit have cultivated strong long-term relationships throughout the agricultural industry.”
The Pieri family has devoted nine decades to California agriculture.
