Produce lovers are invited to participate in the Bloomin’ BBQ Onion Scavenger Hunt, hosted by The Produce Mom and Yerington, Nev.-based Peri & Sons Farms.
To enter, contestants must follow The Produce Mom, an Indianapolis-based blogger whose real name is Lori Taylor, and Peri & Sons on Pinterest, according to a news release. In addition, they must find the link on The Produce Mom’s Facebook page and pin a recipe that works on the grill, one that kids will love and one suitable for a potluck.
“Summer is the perfect time to test new recipes like the low-fat bloomin’ BBQ onion,” Teri Gibson, director of marketing and customer relations for Peri & Sons Farms, said in the release. “This alternative to the deep-fried version is simple to make, even easier to grill and kids love dipping the onion ‘petals’ into a variety of healthy sauces.”
Three winners will be randomly selected to receive a prize pack that includes a $50 Visa gift card, a grilling utensil set, a Peri & Sons Farms USB drive, and a pink ribbon Sweetie Sweet apron and cap.
The contest runs through July 18.
