The Oppenheimer Group has inked a deal with a greenhouse bell pepper and cucumber grower.
The addition of Abbotsford, British Columbia-based Randhawa Farms is expected to increase Vancouver, British Columbia-based Oppenheimer’s British Columbia pepper volumes to 2 million boxes, according to a company news release.
Oppenheimer also sources peppers from Aldergrove, British Columbia-based SunSelect Produce.
Randhawa grows peppers on 44 acres. The company expects to begin shipping in March.
Meanwhile, Oppenheimer is marketing the grower’s long English cucumbers, which began shipping in the first week of January. Randhawa grows cucumbers under lights on four acres.
Randhawa’s cucumbers and peppers will be marketed under the SunSelect brand.
