The Oppenheimer Group has again been named as one of Canada’s best managed companies.
Vancouver, British Columbia-based Oppy made the list of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 2013.
Sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post, Queen’s School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums, the awards recognize Canadian companies that have implemented sound business practices and created value in innovative ways, according to a news release.
This is the 13th consecutive year Oppy made the list, which also puts it on Platinum Club list for the seventh year. The Platinum Club honors companies on the list for six years or more.
“While we operate with a highly disciplined and well-defined strategy, our structure fosters agility,” John Anderson, Oppy’s chairman, president and chief executive officer, said in the release. “While Oppy has always had an international focus, we have developed an even stronger global presence — particularly with growers — as part of the Total Produce family.”
