The Oppenheimer Group has promoted sales staff in four U.S. and Canadian cities.
Former sales intern Garland Jaeger is now business development representative for foodservice in the Chino Hills, Calif., office. It’s the first such position Oppy has dedicated to foodservice, according to a news release.
Jaeger, a recent graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, worked in foodservice sales for Greenville, S.C.-based Francis Produce in 2010 and 2011. For Oppy, she’ll serve clients in Northern California and nationwide.
Derek Lenko has been promoted to sales representative in Calgary, Alberta. He’s been with the company there since 2007 in roles including operations coordinator, sales and transportation coordinator and, most recently, transportation supervisor.
In Tampa, Fla., Matthew Giddings, former sales and transportation coordinator, is coordinator for Oppy’s Florida strawberry business and handling established and new accounts.
Before joining the company in 2011, Giddings worked in operations at Fisher Capespan for a year and in quality control for Westlake Produce.
“I look forward to drawing from the experiences I have had in the previous positions I’ve held as I approach the new Oppy sales role,” he said in the release. “The new Florida berry program is right in the backyard of our Tampa office.”
In Houston, Leslie Germain was promoted from sales assistant to sales administrator. She’s in her third year with the company.
“I’ll be more involved in managing current business and growing new business, by taking on new programs with our customers,” Germain said in the release.
David Smith, senior vice president of sales and categories, announced the promotions.
