Gomez will manage the company’s growing operations, said chief executive officer Parker Booth in a news release. Gomez also will work to build the Organic Alliance supply chain through the qualification of additional growers and product lines.
Gomez also will help manage warehousing and inspection operations.
Before joining the staff at Organic Alliance, Gomez worked in category management for 20 years, according to the release. He worked for 11 years at Performance Food Group and US Foods. He also has experience with grower relations from his most recent job with Tomato Management Group, Houston.
Organic Alliance is a global grower and marketer of organic, Fair Trade and conventional fresh produce.
