The Produce for Better Health Foundation has reached a Facebook milestone.
More than 200,000 consumers from throughout the U.S. have “liked” the Hockessin, Del.-based foundation’s Fruits & Veggies — More Matters Facebook page, according to a news release.
“We’re delighted to have reached this milestone with an incredible and loyal fan base that shows their support and passion for our mission and work to increase the consumption of fruit and vegetables for a healthier America,” Elizabeth Pivonka, PBH’s president and chief executive officer, said in the release.
“Our fans are always providing great feedback, uploading vibrant pictures of meals complete with fruit and vegetables, interested in our content, and engaged in conversations that are a natural extension to our public relations and communications strategy.”
PBH started the Facebook page in 2009 and the record number of likes reflects PBH’s expansion into other social media including Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, according to the release.
