The Produce Marketing Association and two Chilean groups are creating a convention focusing on Chilean produce.
Newark, Del.-base PMA; Fedefruta, Santiago-based Fedefruta, a federation of Chilean fruit growers; and the Santiago-based Yentzen Group on Nov. 12-13 are offering the PMA Fruittrade Latin America show.
The event, which replaces PMA’s and Fedefruta’s individual events in Chile, is designed to capitalize on PMA’s community of global buyers, Fedefruta’s depth in the grower and supplier sectors and Yentzen Group’s global outreach, according to a news release from PMA.
More than 90 exhibitors and more than 2,250 attendees are expected to attend the event, which features educational programming focused on PMA’s expertise in global trends and market information and Fedefruta’s technical expertise, according to the release.
“This new collaboration is part of PMA’s strategy to help the industry build consumer connections by linking members to the people, markets and insights needed to grow business and increase consumption,” Nancy Tucker, PMA’s vice president of global business development, said in the release. “This event is designed to help industry members build connections to experts, ideas, trends and talent so produce and floral companies can focus on building consumer demand for the products they grow, ship and sell.”
