Because of a partnership with Sesame Workshop and the Partnership for a Healthier America, PMA members and others in the fresh produce industry have been granted royalty-free access to use Sesame Street characters to market fresh fruits and vegetables for two years. The initiative is geared to promote fresh fruit and vegetable consumption with children ages two to five years old and their families, according to the PMA.
Registration for the PMA web seminar, slated for 2:30 p.m. Eastern on April 17, is available online.
The moderator for the web seminar is Cathy Burns, PMA president. Speakers are:
- Sam Kass, executive Director of Let’s Move! and senior policy advisor for nutrition policy;
- Maura Regan, senior vice president and general manager of Global Consumer Products for Sesame Workshop; and
- Todd Putman; chairman of PMA’s Sesame Workshop marketing task force and chief marketing officer of Bolthouse Farms.
