PTI workshop slated for Miami

Industry and trade association supply chain experts will be on hand at a Produce Traceability Initiative workshop in Miami on Sept. 19.

Speakers include Ed Treacy, vice president of supply chain efficiencies at the Newark, Del.-based Produce Marketing Association and Dan Vaché, vice president of supply chain management for United Fresh Produce Association, Washington, D.C.

Space is limited for the event, according to a news release. Registrations are accepted by e-mail to prestige@1scom.net and should include name, company name and phone number. The event is being organized by the Peruvian Asparagus Importers Association and questions about the event can be directed to Priscilla Lleras at the 817-793-3133, according to the release.

Presenting sponsors of the event include FoodLink, HarvesterGear, and HarvestMark, according to the release. Workshop participants will have the chance to ask questions of speakers and presenters during two networking sessions, according to the release.

The workshop, at the Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center, has a registration fee of $50 through Sept. 2 and $75 after that date.
