The Portland, Ore.-based Pacific Coast Fruit Co. has earned Safe Quality Food 2000 certification by the Food Marketing Institute.

“For over 35 years PCF has provided fresh produce to the Pacific Northwest establishing trusted relationships with our customers, vendors and employees,” Ted Hendryx, senior vice president of operations, said in a news release. “This SQF Certification gives us a food safety proposition for our valued customer’s growth with not only the major retailers but the restaurants and the small store on the corner.”
