In an effort to reach traditional retailers, the Delano, Calif.-based company will pack Sweet Babies in two-pound clamshells this season, said Jim Pandol, president.
The traditional 21-pound bulk pack used for Sweet Babies has typically shipped to ethnic and boutique food stores.
“We want to make this special product available to more outlets,” Pandol said.
Sweet Babies annual growth has averaged 30-40% for Pandol Associates. The variety is grown for flavor, not size, Pandol said.
