Paramount, Los Angeles, is adding the new sizes to meet the growing demand for quick and healthy snacks in convenience and foodservice channels, according to the company.

The new sizes for Wonderful Pistachios and Wonderful Almonds are single- and multi-serve 1.25-, 1.5-, 2.5-, 4.5- and 5-ounce packs, according to a news release.

The pistachios come in roasted & salted, shelled, salt & pepper and sweet chili, and the almonds are available in roasted & salted and natural raw.

Paramount is also targeting colleges, hotels, healthcare facilities and restaurants, according to the release.

“Premium nuts … are driving the majority of snack nut growth, and it’s clear consumers want healthier options, whether snacking at home or on the road,” Mark Masten, Paramount’s vice president of global sales and marketing, said in the release. “To capitalize on this demand, we are expanding our (stock-keeping units) and increasing retail distribution.”

Paramount is investing more than $30 million in advertising with the Get Crackin’ campaign for Wonderful Pistachios.

Nearing the end of its fourth consecutive season, the campaign features celebrities including PSY, Manny Pacquiao, the Village People and The Simpsons.
