MacIlvaine, president of Paramount since May 1987, has served on several committees and organization, such as the Almond Board of California, Western Growers Association and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Advisory Committee, according to a news release.
He is also currently serving as the chair of the Administrative Committee for Pistachios, the release said.
“He is a respected and longtime leader in California agriculture,” board chair Loren Booth said in the release. “We are thrilled to have his strong business acumen and positive leadership.”
MacIlvaine will be the 13th member of the foundation’s board.
