Peak of the Market has donated $20,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for Alberta flood relief.

The flooding that began June 20 was described by Premier Alison Redford as the largest in the province’s history.

“Our thoughts are with those in Alberta, our friends and our neighbors, who have been so devastated,” Larry McIntosh, president of Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Peak of the Market, said in a news release. “We did this on behalf of all our growers and our co-workers in Calgary and Manitoba.”

Peak of the Market is a grower-owned, not-for-profit vegetable supplier with offices and distribution centers in Calgary and Winnipeg.
