USA Pears, Milwaukie, Ore., has released four summer recipes designed for beginning- to intermediate-level cooks with easy-to-find ingredients.
The recipes are:
- A beverage, Pear Lavender-Mint Spritz;
- A salad, Blueberry and Pear Waldorf Salad and blueberry dressing;
- An entree, Bacon and Bleu Cheese Sliders with Pear Ketchup (by John Therres of Renaissance M Street Hotel, Washington, D.C.); and
- A dessert, Grilled Pears with Currants.
Since 2011, USA Pears has released a quarterly menu of recipes that are are created by chefs, recipe developers and bloggers for exclusive Pear Bureau Northwest use.
