USA Pears introduced a full course meal promoting pears as part of their winter “Fresh Pears From First Course to Finale” promotion.
They added a seasonal appetizer, salad, main course and dessert to their extensive list of pear recipes on their website, according to a news release.
The wintertime menu includes a pear and squash bruschetta, a warm salad of peanut-crusted goat cheese with roasted pears and mixed baby greens, a crispy chicken cutlet with pears and shallots and red wine poached pear with mascarpone and candied almonds.
Chef Craig Richards of La Tavola in Atlanta created the dishes along with chef and cookbook author Virginia Willis and chef John Van House of Murray’s in Minneapolis, the release said.
