Peco Pallet Inc., is now shipping pallets to Wal-Mart stores in Canada.
The Irvington, N.Y.-based pallet rental service has been approved as a pallet participant of Wal-Mart Canada, giving vendors the option to use Peco’s wood block pallets when shipping into Canadian locations of the Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc., according to a news release.
One of the country’s largest employers, Wal-Mmart Canada operates 390 stores serving more than 1.2 million customers every day, according to the release.
“We are very pleased that Wal-Mart Canada has approved Peco Pallet as a pallet participant, and we look forward to providing a level of quality and service that align with Wal-Mart’s high standards,” Adrian Potgieter, Peco Pallet’s senior vice president of sales, said in the release. “As Peco continues to expand our North American service network, we will continue working closely with renters, distributors, and retailers to ensure a smooth transition at all Wal-Mart Canada locations.”
Peco Pallet’s red wood block pallets are used by grocery and consumer goods manufacturers to ship products to retailers, club stores and distribution centers throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Customers return empty pallets to a Peco depot where they are inspected, cleaned and repaired as needed before being reissued, according to the release.
