The Peruvian Asparagus Importers Association plans to host a fall produce traceability workshop in Miami.
At the Sept. 19 conference, participants from across the produce industry can learn more about industry produce traceability requirements and implementation dates, according to a news release from the Miami-based organization.
With some major retailers requiring PTI implementation as early as November, produce industry members attending the workshop can capitalize on the timing and hear from leading U.S traceability experts and supply chain executives, according to the release.
Ed Treacy, vice president of supply chain efficiencies for the Produce Marketing Association, Newark, Del., and Dan Vache, the Redmond, Wash.-based vice president of supply chain management for United Fresh Produce Association, Washington, D.C., are scheduled to make presentations.
FoodLink, Los Gatos, Calif., the Redwood City, Calif.-based YottaMark Inc.’s HarvestMark traceability system, and HarvesterGear Inc., Wilmington, N.C., are scheduled presenting sponsors, according to the release.
Participants can register by e-mailing or phoning Priscilla Lleras, the association’s coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 817-793-3133.
